ROME, Ga. – For the second-straight week, senior Todd Moyer and freshman Griffin Lawlor collect the USA South Athletics Conference weekly accolades for the No. 5 Methodist University men's golf team, with Moyer winning USA South Men's Golfer of the Week and Lawlor coming out on top for the USA South Men's Golf Rookie of the Week award off their stellar performances at the NCAA Preview as announced by the league offices on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Lawlor cruised to start off in his opening 18, recording three birdies, with a two-under par 33 on the back to fire a 71 (E) in the first stanza. Lawlor maintained his consistency in the second 18, snagging four more birdies on the round to finish out with a 74 (+3) after 36-holes of action. Lawlor entered Tuesday smoothly, cashing-in birdies on the par-5 third and the par-4 twelfth to close the NCAA Preview with a 74 (+3) for a total of 71-74-74-219 (+6) to rank out in T-45th overall.
 
Round one of the clash for Moyer began a little rocky with a triple-bogey on the par-4 fourth, however shaking that off with four birdies in the opening round to log a 72 (+1) in the first 18. Moyer became lights out in the second stanza for the Monarchs, recording eight birdies in the afternoon to close Monday with a collegiate-career best of 65 (-6) heading into the final round. Moyer wrapped the NCAA Preview with a strong finish on Tuesday, taking command of his closing nine with five birdies, six on the day, to shoot 71 (E) after 54 holes, tabulating a 72-65-71-208 (-5) for his second-career top five finish of T-5th in the field.
