The Monarchs cut into the Quaker lead when Reber connected with Anthony Radke from two yards out and Rieling's point after pulled MU to within 31-13 with 1:41 left in the half. However, a GC kick return to midfield set the Quakers up with good field position, and Pawlowski found Smith from 20 yards out with 20 seconds to play and the Quakers took a 38-13 lead into the break after Hunt converted the extra point.
