NORMAN, Okla. The Methodist men's golf team still stands in the two spot with the March 11 release of the Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll, just shy of the first place spot by seven points. The Monarchs accumulated 475 points while earning five first-place votes in the rankings.
Atop of the poll is Emory (Ga.) University after totaling 482 points and 10 first-place ballots. Fellow USA South Athletic Conference foe, Huntingdon College sits in third, nine points behind Methodist, earning four votes and tallying 466 points. The final first place vote was given to No. 4 Babson (Mass.) College (436 pts).
The Monarchs travel to Jekyll Island, Georgia next for a three-day event at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe University, beginning on Friday, March 18.
