SAVANNAH, Ga. Even though the second round of the Savannah Invitational was put on pause, Methodist men's golf still concluded the first round second overall.

DAY 1 NOTES
- Following the conclusion of Round One, the Monarchs found themselves in second place after the team carded a 288 (+4).
- Henry Angier led Methodist with a one-under 70 to find himself in a sixth place tie. He first went one over on the front nine before going two under on the back nine, which included two birdies and an eagle.
- Coming in a tie for 16th overall was Andre Chi when he posted a 72 (+1). Through the 18 holes, Chi hit 13 pars, three bogies, and two birdies.
- Both Copper Hrabak and Sam Marshall each shot a very similar card for the round. They each were even through nine when he had the turn to the back nine. Than a double bogey and a bogey by the duo got them to a two over 73 for a tie of 23rd place.
- Chase Walts completes the team, but for this round his score does not affect the team score. Walts finished his first round with a score of five over 76 to put him in a tie for 52nd overall.
