BOULDER CITY, Nev. In the first round of their final fall event, the Monarchs of the Methodist men's golf team produced a 13-over-par 301 team score. Methodist will enter the second round tied for second place on the leaderboard.

FIRST ROUND
- Leading the Monarchs, senior Cameron Cappuzzo finished the day with a birdie on Hole 18, boosting his score to one-under par. He totaled four birdies on the round (three of which came on the back nine) with three bogeys, putting him in third place on the player leaderboard.
- Aiden Spampinato was the next-best Monarch on the day, earning a two-over par (tied for 11th). He birdied holes 4 and 5, but went on to card back-to-back bogeys on holes 8 and 9, and again on holes 17 and 18.
- Tied at six-over par each, Cooper Hrabak and Haden Ruby both saw ups and downs during the first round. Hrabak started his day with a double-bogey on the first hole, then began the second half with a triple-bogey on Hole 10. He also recorded three bogeys with two birdies. Ruby recorded a triple-bogey on the front nine and a double-bogey on the back nine, mixing in four bogeys and three birdies throughout the rest of the round.
- Finishing as Methodist's fifth man on the day, David D'Agostino pieced together an eight-over par, sinking his only birdie of the day on Hole 13.
