GREENSBORO, N.C. No. 2 ranked Methodist University men's golf played its final round of the Gate City Invitational on Tuesday. The Monarchs shot their best round of the tournament with a three-under par 275 but still finish in fourth place with an overall score of 861 (+9).

DAY 2 NOTES
- Aiden Spampinato (71-69-72) finished in a tie for sixth place after shooting a one-over par 72 on the last day. He shot a birdie early on but then back-to-back bogeys put him at one-over. Toward the end he birdied again to even out his card before he bogeyed his penultimate hole of the round.
- Cameron Cappuzzo (73-72-69) scored a team-best two-under par 69 for the round on his way to a T-11th placement. He went even par on the front half of the course, with two birdies & bogeys each, and then opened up the back half by making two birdies in a row.
- Haden Ruby (77-71-70) came in a tie for 25th place following a career-low round score of one-under par 70. He went one-under through the first nine holes, three birdies and two bogeys, before going even-par on the back nine with two more birdies & bogeys.
- Also placing in a tie for 25th, David D'Agostino (76-72-70) shot a one-under par 70 as well for the round. He was one-over at the turn and then shot a two-under the rest of the way. A biggest highlight of the day for him was scoring an eagle on hole number 14, which was a par five (474 yards).
- Cooper Hrabak (79-71-72), who placed in a tie for 40th, posted a one-over par 72 in his final round. He opened up strong with two consecutive birdies but later recorded four bogeys. He ended the day on high note by making one last birdie to help negate one of the bogeys.

Methodist does not return to action until the month of October when the team travels to the Tartan Invitational, 9-10.
