Midgley was a three-time All-USA South softball player, earning first-team honors in 1999 and 2002, and a second-team selection in 2001. The 1999 conference rookie of the year also was named to USA South all-tournament teams in 2001 and 2002.

Methodist captured regular-season conference titles three times (1999, 2000 and 2002) and won the league tournament in 2000 while Midgley patrolled the outfield. Her teams also made a pair of
appearances (1999, 2000) in NCAA D-III national tournaments.

Midgley remains the program's career record holder in at-bats (548) and hits (211). She also ranks second in runs scored (151), third in games played (175) and sacrifices (27), fourth in stolen bases (71) and total bases (255) and fifth in career batting average (.385).
