Methodist Athletics Hall of Fame
Chapman was a four-time, first-team all-conference baseball player, earning USA South rookie of the year honors in 1996 and the league's player of the year award in 1999, the same season he was voted a third-team All-American.
During his time with the program, Monarch baseball earned three USA South regular season titles (1996, 1998, 1999), won the 1996 conference tournament, made three trips to NCAA Regionals (1996, 1998, 1999) and advanced into the 1996 NCAA College World Series.
Chapman posted a career record of 18-3 as a pitcher and his winning percentage on the mound (.857) ranks second in program history. From the batter's box he ranks second in career doubles (53), third in home runs (32), and fourth in hits (239) and runs scored (206). His 1999 batting average of .399 ranks 14th on the all-time single-season record listing.
