Methodist Athletics Hall of Fame
Elaine Adams '80, was one of the pioneers of female athletics at Methodist, lettering in basketball, volleyball and softball from 1977 to 1980. In basketball, Adams was a two-time team Most Valuable Player and averaged 33 points a game. She was also a two-time team MVP in volleyball and led both the basketball and volleyball teams to NCAIAW state championships. In addition, Adams also was a starter for the Monarchs in softball. She is the second player from the women's basketball and softball programs to be inducted into the Hall, and first representative from the volleyball program.
