Gilligan is a three-time All-American, earning first-team honors in 1992 and second-team selections in 1990 and 1993. She also garnered first-team All-DIAC (Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) honors three times (1990, 1992 and 1993).

Second all-time in program history (as of her 2021 induction) with 33 career assists, Gilligan produced 12 assists in both the 1989 and 1993 seasons to rank fifth on the Monarchs' single-season record listing.
