Criswell was a four-year starter for the Monarchs helping the team to three conference championships and four NCAA appearances from 1987-1990.  She was a three-time All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American selection.  Crsiwell also added Academic All-American recognition on three different occasions.  In 2005, Criswell was named to the USA South Silver Anniversary Team.
