Brian Ford competed with the Methodist baseball team from 1992-95 and helped the Monarchs to two NCAA South Region Championships while earned NCAA Division III runner-up status in 1995. At the end of the 1995 season, he was named a First Team All-American with a 15-1 record on the mound. He currently holds the Methodist record for career innings pitched, career strikeouts, season wins, season strikeouts, season earned run average and pitched the Monarchs' lone perfect game in 1993. He maintains the NCAA Division III record for career innings pitched at 407.2 innings and was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 22nd round of the Major League Baseball draft.
